Just painting a brick wall is also much cheaper than other forms of exterior building decoration. The only disadvantage and at the same time an advantage of painting is the fact that it is very durable and if in the future it is decided to change and remove the paint, it can be very difficult. Then the only solution will be to repaint it with a different color.
How to prepare brick walls?
Before moving on to painting the brick cladding, the surface must first be properly prepared. At the very beginning, however, you should sweep the area and make sure that there is no dust, dirt or debris, it is best and easiest to do this with a brush or broom. Then, the cleaned surface should be cleaned with a detergent and a high-pressure cleaner. If mold, moss or algae are present in some places, they should be rinsed with fungicide to prevent re-growth. At a later stage, you need to repair any cracks and debris. For this you will need a special acrylic sealant, on which we also apply a special masonry sealant. After all these steps are completed, you can easily start painting.
