Is it worth investing in SunVizion OSS for the AWS platform?
Migrating important OSS applications to the public cloud is no longer unthinkable, at least for the more pragmatic IT executives in telecommunications. Our entire SunVizion OSS suite has been proven to run smoothly on AWS, giving IT directors much-needed peace of mind, and an increasing number of telecom operators are submitting public cloud OSS inquiries, but that didn’t surprise Suntech. Telefónica Deutschland, arguably one of the pioneers in Europe when it comes to porting BSS applications to public cloud platforms, is a good example of how some telecom operators are rethinking traditional ways of doing things. In mid-2020, the Spanish giant’s German operations revealed that it was migrating around 50 of the 200 BSS applications to the public cloud.
When will you be ready to implement SunVizion OSS?
Suntech has seen with its own eyes a growing number of inquiries from telecom operators looking to explore public cloud options. It’s true that its flagship product, SunVizion OSS, has traditionally been deployed in private clouds – as is the case with many other OSS vendors – but Suntech does not stand still. Last year, the company successfully completed several OSS implementations on AWS. They included the entire SunVizion OSS package – physical and logical inventory, as well as execution and provision of services – operating on the AWS public cloud platform. Telco’s CIOs don’t have to spend sleepless nights considering OSS public cloud options.
